VB4-MST Mobile Security Trailer
Solar-powered, cloud-managed video security you tow to the site, set up in minutes, and run without power, trenching, or a network drop. This guide covers setting the trailer up, running it, packing it up, and keeping it healthy.
What is on board
- Four 450 W solar panels on slide-out, tilt-adjustable racks, with an MPPT charge controller.
- Lithium iron phosphate battery bank at 24 V, in three sizes: 9.6, 14.4, or 19.2 kWh.
- A locked, ventilated equipment cabinet holding the breakers, the battery monitor, the system controller with its touch display, the cellular gateway, and the network switch.
- A telescoping mast with the camera head, optional speaker, and optional strobes at the top.
- A 120 V outlet on the cabinet fed by an onboard inverter, and a shore-power input for charging from any standard outlet.
- Optional generator for automatic top-ups through long overcast stretches.
- Verkada cameras on Verkada Command, with built-in 4G LTE/5G connectivity.
Two models
The VB4-MST is the larger trailer with the four-panel array described here. A smaller VB1-MST shares the same controls and procedures at a smaller scale. This guide is written for the VB4-MST.
How to use this guide
Read Before you deploy once. Then follow Set up on site and Raise the mast in order every time the trailer moves. Lower and pack up is the reverse, and it matters just as much: a mast that is towed up, or panels left out, will damage the trailer.
